Get back

Written in January 2010

And so the blog was calling me. So after seven months, after a long and dark winter, I then decide to return (the “after winter”, because the season came with all its strength and insists to stay and be noticed with lots of snow and negative temperatures). The reason? Not that now I really have a direction to this stuff, oh no, my dear.. It’s just that I’ve been reaing so many blogs that I thought I could use some exercise in writing. You that thing kids do? Seeing other doing something and copy? So that’s it, only it’s and ld body of twentyt…oops!, of certain age.

In case you haven’t noticed yet, since some time I’ve been using song’s titles as the title of my posts and so I intend to continue. To set the mood, you know? I mean, thinking about it, it also can be that I use film titles. Or not. I’ll let this part undecided – promises are not my thing.

But that’s it. It would be nice if someone reading actually commented once in a while – it’s good to know there’s somebody out there besides me reading. Of course, that’s pure vanity, but then again, who in this bloggers world is not vain at some degree?

Bye!

Hair

June 16, 2009

A post about hair may seem very directed to women. We cry, we don’t want to leave home and we avoid seeing people we know because of a bad haircut. But take a look at the greatest ode to hair of all time:

As always, it all starts with a look in the mirror. Okay, time to have a haircut. The thing is, I have a really big problem when it comes to haircuts. In one year I managed to have mullets and an abajour shaped hair. Well, the last experience was not very delightful either. As the stylist kept cutting I couldn’t help but wonder (Carrie Bradshaw style!): what the hell is she doing?! And I ended up leaving the place with something pretty different from the simple thing I asked. It took me the ride home to finally realize – no, it is not good. And then, seeing myself in my usual mirror: it’s terrible! Through the next two days things got only worst, and I decided I looked pretty much like some emo guy – even more precise, I looked like that American Idol guy that used eyeliner.

I want my Snow White hairstyle back. Meanwhile I’m singing about hair Hair Broadway Musical style.

Welcome To The Jungle

June 12, 2009

Hi to all of you part of the blog world! I’m very happy to be here, writing my very first entry in the Today’s Song. I think it’s important to explain what thig blog is going to be about, right? Well, then, prepare your microphones, ’cause it’s going to be all about music!

Music says a lot about people – about who we are, what we think and about our current mood. And everyday we are a little bit different from the day before, right? So, everyday our life has new theme, wich means also a new song. A kind of soundtrack.

Every post here will have the title of a song. It may be a song that best suits the mood, the song that reminds us of the situation we’ve been living or simply the song that inspires us to think about something. Anyway, the theme of the blog is music + life.

For the first post I just wanted something that had the idea of a beggining, so instantly came up to me Welcome To The Jungle – the title of a Guns N’ Roses song and a sort of greeting that could be given to any newborn. Life is a jungle, remember? ;) So, wait for the new posts about to come!

Stay tuned. =)
